Umrah Guide

Ayah
وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ
Wa atimmul-hajja wal-'umrata lillah
"And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah." (Al-Baqarah: 196)
Hadith
العُمْرَةُ إِلَى العُمْرَةِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُمَا
Al-'umratu ilal-'umrati kaffaratun lima bainahuma
"The performance of Umrah is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous Umrah."

Arrival in Makkah

Ayah
رَّبّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ
Rabbi adkhilni mudkhala sidqin wa akhrujni mukhraja sidq
"My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit."
Dua
الَّهُمَّ هَذَا حرَمُكَ وَأَمْنُكَ فَحَرِّمْ لَحْمِي وَدَمِي وَشَعْرِي وَبَشَرِي عَلَى النَّارِ
Allahumma hadha haramuka wa amnuka, faharrim lahmi wa dammi wa sha'ri wa bashari 'alan-nar
"O Allah, this is Your sanctuary and security, so forbid my flesh, blood, hair, and skin to the Fire."

First Sight of Kaabah

Ayah
وَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابًَ لِّلنَّاسِ وَأمْنًا
Wa idh ja'alnal-baita mathābatan linnāsi wa amna
"And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security."
Dua
اللَّهُمَّ زِدْ هَذَا الْبَْتَ تَشْرِيفًا وتَعْظِيمًا وَتَكْرِيمًا وَمَهَابةً
Allahumma zid hadhal-bayta tashrifan wa ta'dhiman wa takriman wa mahabah
"O Allah, increase this House in honour, magnification, reverence and awe."

Before Starting Tawaf

Ayah
وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ
Walyattawwafu bil-baitil-'atiq
"And let them circumambulate the Ancient House."
Dua
اللَّهُمَ إِنِّي أَنْوِي الطَّوَافَ بِبَيِْكَ الْحَرَامِ سبْعَةَ أَشْوَاطٍ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى
Allahumma inni anwit-tawafa bi-baytikal-harami sab'ata ashwatin lillahi ta'ala
"O Allah, I intend to perform seven circuits of Tawaf around Your Sacred House for the sake of Allah the Most High."

First Round of Tawaf

Dua
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ وَلا إِلَهَ إلا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ
Subhanallahi walhamdulillahi wa la ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar
"Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Allah, and there is no deity except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest."

Second Round of Tawaf

Dua
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا مَبْرُورًا وَذَنْبً مَغْفُورًا وَسَْيًا مَشْكُورًا
Allahumma-j'alhu hajjan mabruran wa dhanban maghfuran wa sa'yan mashkura
"O Allah, make this an accepted Hajj, a forgiven sin, and an appreciated effort."

Third Round of Tawaf

Dua
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar
"Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

Fourth Round of Tawaf

Dua
اللَّهَُّ أَظِلَّنِي تَْتَ عَرْشِكَ يَومَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّكَ
Allahumma adhillani tahta 'arshika yawma la dhilla illa dhilluk
"O Allah, shade me under Your throne on the day when there is no shade except Your shade."

Fifth Round of Tawaf

Dua
اللَّهمَّ اغْفِرْ وَارحَمْ وَتَجَاوَزْ عَمَّا تَعْلَمُ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ اأَعَزُّ الأَكْرَمُ
Allahumma-ghfir warham wa tajawaz 'amma ta'lam, innaka antal-a'azzul-akram
"O Allah, forgive and have mercy, and overlook what You know, for You are the Most Mighty, the Most Generous."

Sixth Round of Tawaf

Dua
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وارْحَمْ وَاهْدِنِي السَّبِيلَ الأَقْوَمَ
Rabbigh-fir warham wahdinis-sabilal-aqwam
"My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and guide me to the most upright path."

Seventh Round of Tawaf

Dua
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Allahumma rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar
"O Allah, our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

At Maqam Ibrahim

Ayah
وَاتَّخِذُوا مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى
Wattakhidhu min maqami Ibrahima musalla
"And take the station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer."
Dua
رَبَّنَا تََبَّلْ مِنَّا إَِّكَ أَنتَ السَِّيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas-Sami'ul-'Alim
"Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."

Before Starting Sa'i

Ayah
إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ
Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah
"Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah."
Dua
أَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللهُ بِهِ
Abda'u bima bada'Allahu bihi
"I begin with what Allah began with."

During Sa'i

Dua
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ، إِنََّ أَنْتَ الْأَعَُّ الْأَكْرَمُ
Rabbigh-fir warham, innaka antal-a'azzul-akram
"My Lord, forgive and have mercy, indeed You are the Most Mighty, the Most Generous."

After Completing Sa'i

Dua
اللَّهُمَّ تقَبَّلْ مِنِّي عمْرَتِي وَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَسْتُرْ عُيُوبِي
Allahumma taqabbal minni 'umrati waghfir li dhunubi wastur 'uyubi
"O Allah, accept from me my Umrah, forgive my sins, and cover my faults."

For Shaving/Cutting Hair

Dua
اللَهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِْمُحَلِّقِينَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ
Allahummaghfir lil-muhalliqina wal-muqassirin
"O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads and those who cut their hair short."
